More servicesIn 1948, the original improved M26A1s was truly accepted. These tanks have been armed utilising the 90mm unit M3A1 in to the combination gun mount M67A1. The M3A1 completed up being fitted with a bore evacuator and a lighter, single-baffle muzzle braking system. The M67A1 mount had a lighter equilibrator springtime because the M3A1's lighter muzzle stopping system imparted less torque upon firing. M26A1 furthermore had a modified tool travel lock, and several automobiles had been fitted with a gun degree stabilizer
