43-tooth big bevel gear for center differential is machined from unique HUDY metal item including been especially developed for gear-type things, furthermore hardened and accuracy ground to check the tightest restriction requires for perfect match the diff outdrives. The gears are separately machined on a precision German gear unit and each gear is individually tested, analyzed, and run in. The diff gear might actually be laser etched with "Active 43T" for quick and easy instant recognition.
