The Messerschmitt Me262 "Swallow" are the earth's very first functional jet-powered fighter aircraft. Formally called "Swallow", the Allies called it the �Storm bird�. The Me262 had a negligible impact the full time of WWII, but its design finished up being extremely influential on postwar aircraft development. Its very first test journey is at 1941, but cannot see functional solution until July1944. Including all variations, about 1,430 Me262's have been produced.
