Description

The F/A-18 "Hornet" is actually one and two-seat, dual engine, multi-mission fighter/attack aircraft which will operate from either aircraft providers or land bases. The F/A-18 fills a number of functions: environment superiority, fighter escort, suppression of enemy environment defenses, reconnaissance, ahead air control, close and deep environment help, and most enough time struck missions. The F/A-18 Hornet replaced the F-4 Phantom II fighter and A-7 Corsair II light assault jet, and replaced the A-6 Intruder since these aircraft had been definitely resigned through the complete 1990s.
