Mameluks wore Turkish costumes and kept them despite having they passed in French solution. Enlisted into the Imperial Guard cavalry, these people were unmistakably familiar the form of their uniforms, the cahouk with turban and curved blades the Mameluke sabres. History recalls their cost through the Tzar's Guard Cavalry at Austerlitz.
