Great britain RAF's Lightning F.Mk.6 interceptor features a traditional two vertically installed engine design. Belated variation F.6 was in fact truly fashioned with an upgraded motor and extra gas tanks on the wings. The Lightning undertook atmosphere defense solution for over 2 years, retiring in 1988.
