The XRAY aluminum CVD drive axles are CNC machined to reduce weight, cutting up to 20g across all four axles compared to standard stock wheel axles. That reduction helps improve acceleration and responsiveness on the race line.

Produced on fully automatic German CNC machines, these axles are made to tight tolerances for dependable fitment. The hardcoating is applied on XRAY's robotic line to deliver a consistent surface finish that stands up to competitive use.

Service and Inspection Tips

Aluminum offers a strong but lighter option versus steel, yet it can show wear sooner under extreme loads. Check the axles regularly, especially after hard races, to avoid surprises during a competition.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
These axles suit high competition lightweight classes where reducing rotating mass helps lap times, such as touring car and pan car setups that accept the same CVD interface.
Visually check for bending, scoring or excessive wear at the joints and splines, and spin the axle to feel for rough spots. Replace any axle that shows signs of stress.
You can swap them if the hub and CVD interface match your chassis. Keep in mind aluminium may require more frequent checks than steel under heavy duty use.
