If you are upgrading an XT9 series racer, the XRAY 358223 Aluminum Rear Shock Body set brings a strong yet lightweight option. Machined from 7075 T6 aluminum, these shock bodies balance low mass with solid construction for club racing and rough off-road use.

CNC machining and large bore layout

Each body is produced on fully-automatic German CNC machines to ensure tight tolerances and repeatable parts. The generous 16mm inner diameter helps the shock manage oil flow for steady damping, and the external thread with an adjustable collar makes downstop tuning quick and precise.

Robust hardcoat finish for long life

XRAY applies a hardcoat in a fully robotic line to give a clean, consistent surface that resists wear. The finish supports reliable operation lap after lap and helps the shock bodies maintain performance under demanding running conditions.

They are made for the XT9 series geometry; some earlier or later model years may need small changes to mounts or springs to fit correctly.
Oil choice depends on track and driver preference, but the larger bore smooths action so mid-range viscosities are a good starting point for general use.
Use the external threaded section and the collar to set a downstop; turn the collar to change travel and lock it in place once the desired ride height and travel are achieved.
